Gnu

Originally the “Factory Choice” designed by Gnu’s in-house test team, the Gnu Riders Choice was taken over by Zach Leach, Hampus Mosseson, and Kyle Clancy in 2002. Kyle is taking a break from the Choices to design his own flying contraption. Sketchy D and Doran Laybourn, who have been riding the Choices for years will be adding their experience to the evolution of freestyle snowboards. Sandwich consturction, EISS 9 sidewalls, sintered bases, twin directional shapes with harmonic progressive sidecuts and lightweight altered genetic/aspen cores.

This is an amazing board. Nice amount of flex that lands you nice and soft on rails, but still gives you a good amount of pop. It’s pretty lightweight, so jumping and spinning are that much easier. Easy to control and turn (not a point and shoot park board), and it handles really well at higher speeds.

The only downside is I haven’t noticed a big difference in the Magne-Traction. Being from the Ice Coast, I got psyched when I read that it turns ice into powder. Of course it doesn’t, and I really haven’t noticed any added control with MTX.
